The test of the enemy

or – blessed be the Lord in Jesus mighty

name in the beginning was the word and

the Word was with God and the Word was

God

and that word was the word and the word

the power of God in the beginning was

the word and that word is his name is

Jesus Lord of glory Jesus king over

Kings his name is Jesus light of the

world Jesus the bread of life his name

is Jesus word of God Jesus God with us

so we thank you for today Lord we thank

you for everything but especially for

today Lord why for today is now we thank

you Lord that we are alive in you

blessed the earth blessed be our Lord

today is about the enemy how he works

all he operates so that you should learn

away the way of the Word of God to stand

against the enemy stand not survive Stan

the enemy has one question the enemy

thinks that the things of the world that

his power is everything that man runs

after money possessions stuff in the

flesh and it’s question his temptation

of you his testing of you is always one

and the same is it for nothing that you

are a god-fearing person you say God

this Jesus that bless you

is it for nothing or are you only doing

it because you have a certain worldly

benefit of it that is the testing of the

enemy for if you are only doing it

because you have a certain benefit of it

then you are his then you are his so

simple as that it is sad in the good

Word of God Jesus said it well that’s

how it is that is just how it is of the

risen Lord is said well he said the son

of man doesn’t have a stone to lay his

head on the enemy the temptation of the

enemy is

I will give you riches I will give you

glory I will make your name high above

other names of men for certainly not for

nothing that you do this hmm an

interesting point many have gone after

those who are god-fearing for a benefit

because they see the profit because they

see the big castles the big cars the

huge rings

but this is the testing of the enemy is

it for nothing that you are a

god-fearing person the story of job the

story of job tested tested job 1:8 job 1

verse 8 the testing of the enemy and the

Lord said to Satan have you taken note

of my servant job for there is no one

like him on the earth a man without sin

and upright fearing God and keeping

himself far from evil and then Satan

said in answer to the Lord the Satan the

Satan said in answer to the Lord is it

for nothing the job is a god-fearing man

have you yourself not put a wall around

him and his house and all he has on

every side blessing the work of his

hands and increasing his cattle in the

land but now put out your hand against

all he has and he will be cursing you to

your face the Satan is saying to the

Lord your people are only with you

because they have a worldly benefit from

it they don’t believe in the afterlife

they don’t believe him eternal life they

don’t believe in communion with Jesus in

the spirit that’s what

they just do it because there is worldly

benefit for it because they can earn

money with it because it gives them a

leg up in certain circumstances that’s

the only reason they’re doing it for if

you put your hand out

against all that they have Lord they

will be cursing you to your face

interesting interesting and it’s the

same thing when the Lord came in the

flesh when the word became flesh Matthew

4 verse 1 to 11 the same thing he did

then Jesus was sent by the spirit into

the wasteland

to be tested by the evil one and after

going without food for 40 days and 40

nights he was in need of it when you are

needy an evil one came and said to him

if you are the son of God if you are the

son of God give the word to these stones

to become bread

but he made answer and said it is in the

writings bread is not man’s only need

but every word which comes out of the

mouth of God then the evil one took him

to the holy town and he put him on the

highest point of the temple and said to

him if you are the son of God let

yourself go down for his in the writings

he will give his angels care over you

and in their hands they will keep you up

so that your foot may not be crushed

against the stone all things in the

flesh all things in the flesh

said to him again it is in their

writings you may not put the Lord your

God to the test again the evil one took

him up to a very high mountain and let

him see all the kingdoms of the world

and the glory of them and he said to him

all these things will I give you if you

will go down on your face and give me

worship the enemy seeks to sit at the

head of the congregation and I’m not

talking about a building or a little

church a little Church of 50,000 no I’m

talking about the head of the

congregation give me worship as God then

said Jesus to him away Satan for it is

in the writings give worship to the Lord

your God and be his servant only give

testing by the enemy be they in the form

of a thought of an illness of a disaster

of theft of people of whoever or

whatever at all times whatever the enemy

does be that enemy in the form of a

natural disaster or in the form of a man

Lord said to Satan see I give all he has

into your hands only do not put a finger

before the Lord the first temptation of

the enemy is to take away all your stuff

for you to lose all your stuff all your

people all your stuff that’s the first

temptation those who turn then are the

weakest those who learn from the

beatings of the world that oh so we

shouldn’t do this and this otherwise you

will lose your money your stuff your

cattle your your people your whatever

those are weaker those are the easy ones

nothing has happened to them in the

flesh the story of Job you can see a

progression of how Satan increases the

afflictions to test you and it’s not oh

I’ve got one test I’m good now he

increases the testing but you will see

how job stood against them just like

Jesus did you still got one test he

increasingly got one and then the other

until he destroyed what the enemy was

trying to do to take worship to himself

and to the things of the world and he

said worship the Lord your God only

and be only his servant blessed be your

Lord blessed be the testing by the enemy

the testing by the enemy is questioned

that he plays before the Lord and the

Satan said an answer to the Lord is it

for nothing the job the job is a

god-fearing man is it for nothing I pray

that at all points you may know you may

know that a worship God above all else

means that it is for nothing that you

are a god-fearing person nothing in this

world can compare there is no worldly

benefit that is good enough to rise up

above the worship of God and so the

solution is simple and every attack just

keep doing what you’re doing keep

worshiping God above all else and being

his servant only blessed be our Lord

and I pray that you may know at all

times

that you are a god-fearing person for a

reason but the reason is not of this

world blessed be our Lord in Jesus

mighty name amen so lord give us your

word speak with your voice speaking to

the hearts of those who are under the

power of your voice the testing by the

enemy is it for nothing that you are a

god-fearing person

job one first one let us do our reading

job one first one there was a man in the

land of us whose name was job he was

without sin and upright without sin and

upright who is he an example of without

sin fearing God and keeping himself far

from evil and he had seven sons and

they may have said evil of God in their

hearts some people said well it suggests

they did this and did the essence is

that sin sin is seeing evil of God in

your heart blessed Bureau

and so job job whenever there was a

feast he did this after the feast for

all his children not a team you didn’t

something but just if they had done

something seeing evil of God in their

hearts taking away the root and not the

sign whatever that may have been but

scripture does not mention any sign so

whatever people are saying that the

signs were are not of Scripture

we are talking scripture is about

spiritual things job 1 verse 6 and there

was a day when the sons of the gods came

together before the Lord and the Satan

came with them and Lord said to the

Satan where do you come from and the

Satan said in answer from wandering this

way and that on the earth and walking

about on it and the Lord said to thee

Satan have you taken note of my servant

job for there is no one like him on the

earth a man without sin and upright

fearing God and keeping himself far from

evil and the Satan said in answer to the

Lord is it for nothing that job is a

god-fearing man does he have no profit

at all in it he’s doing it because he

has profit by it that the enemy

understands have you yourself not put a

wall around him and his house and all he

has on every side blessing the work of

his hands and increasing his cattle in

the land but now put out your hand

against all he has and he will be

cursing you to your face take it all

away from him all he has in the world

and he will be cursing you why has God

done this to me

have you ever heard someone say that

have you ever said it yourself Lord

forgive us for falling into the simple

traps of the enemy

forgive us Lord forgive us forgive us

for cursing Lord for cursing you

Lord forgive us Lord thank you for

making salvation forest Lord for we are

not able to ourselves thank you Lord

Johan verse 12 and the Lord said to this

Satan see I give all he has into your

hands only do not put a finger on the

man himself and the Satan went out from

before the Lord and there was a day when

wasteland against the four sides of the

and they are dead and I was the only one

then job got up and after parting his

clothing and cutting off his hair he

went down on his face to the earth and

gave worship and gave worship worship

the Lord your God above all else and be

his servant only and he gave worship and

said with nothing I came out of my

mother’s body and with nothing I will go

back there

the son of man doesn’t even have a stone

to rest his head on the Lord gave and

the Lord has taken away let the Lord’s

name be praised

let the Lord’s name be praised in all

this job did not sin and did not say

that God’s acts were foolish for this is

the purpose of the enemy who destroys

that you may doubt God that you may say

Oh what is God doing that you may curse

God to his face why because he is always

in you with you around you covering you

blessed be our Lord and let the Holy

Spirit increase everywhere that’s under

the power of his voice in Jesus mighty

name

then at all times even if there is

nothing in this world over for you

nothing that you may know why you are a

god-fearing person and that you may keep

on worshiping him and being his servant
