God says listen to what the Spirit says

he is the spirit he is the spirit

and he is warning against hypocrisy here

against hallow profession against having

all the outward appearance but not being

in the presence of the Lord so let’s be

careful to keep our spirit open to his

voice to be aware of his presence and

not be found just shouting and painting

and saying Christ and Lord Lord like

those who said Lord Lord in your name we

have done all these things and he says I

know you not depart from blessed be your

Lord and I pray I pray that you may

overcome in always being aware of his

presence so that you will have a place

in him as a member of the body of Christ

the true church and be seated

in him on his high seat which is the

having eyes do you not see having ears

have you no hearing and have you no

memory a lot of times we just get caught

up in the moment we don’t remember we

don’t hear we don’t stand and listen and

hear from the Word of God or from God as

to what to do but going all different

directions then go all sorts of strange

things get scared at every problem we

encounter so how are we gonna do this

how are we gonna do that but don’t you

remember how the Lord saved you the last

time don’t you remember his grace and

mercy don’t you remember what he did to

help you the previous time that you were

in a big trouble why do you want to do

something else having eyes do you not

see having ears have you no hearing why

do you want to go through the wall when

next to it is a door why do you want to

do it the hard way the way of the world

when the Lord is next to you saying I am

here do you hear do you see do you

remember how the Lord sent his servant

to help you do you remember stay on that

way sail the path that he has laid out

for you

listen see and remember remember the

goodness of God blessed be your Lord and

I pray that you may see that you may

hear and that you may remember remember

how it was that the Lord is helping you

for the Lord does not know time as we

mark 8 verse 1 in those days again when

there was a great mass of people and

they had no food

he made his disciples come to him and

said to them I have pity for these

people because they have been with me

now three days and have no food if I

send them away to their houses with no

food they will be overcome by weariness

on the way and some of them have come

from far and his disciples said in

answer how will it be possible to get

enough bread for these men here in a

waste place and he put the question how

cakes and he made the people be seated

on the earth and he took the seven cakes

and having given praise he gave the

broken bread to his disciples to put

before them and he put it before the

people and they had some small fishes

and blessing them he had them put before

the Lord when he sees the people in need

when he sees you in need he sends out

his disciples he is the one who blesses

everything but he sends out his

disciples for just as he had to come in

the form of a man for the word became

flesh and dwelt among us

so he sends his disciples and the people

took the food and remember Brad is not

man’s only need but every word that

comes from the mouth of God

he took the food and had enough and they

took up seven baskets full of the broken

bits his grace his mercy his gifts is

always overwhelming the exceeding power

of God when they got manna in the desert

there was so much manna that some tried

to store it but it would rot for there

is no fear in God there is no need to

build up a store for the Lord if he so

wills provides day after day too much

for you to finish up every day he

provides it in a certain way through his

man of God but he provides it he blesses

it and gives it do you not see do you

not hear do you remember don’t you

remember when you had nothing and

everyone thought that you were nothing

and no one what did the Lord do did he

send you out into the world

or did he send his disciples his men to

own pockets and against the leaven of

worldly authorities the leaven their

principles their rules their wisdom the

thing that in sneers you

and they said to one another we have no

bread and Jesus hearing it said to them

why are you reasoning among yourselves

because you have no bread do you still

not see and is it still not clear to you

are your hearts so hard no matter how

little you have as his workers as his

disciples as his man of God through his

word through his presence there is

always enough there is always a way of

taking what you have through God and

letting it be a grace a blessing for

many more always no matter how small you

are no matter how little money you have

all of these things do not matter to God

for God is ruler over everything

verse 18 having eyes do you not see and

having ears have you no hearing and have

you no memory they just came over from

where he took seven cakes of bread and

some fishes and fed everyone and there

was over he fed thousands and there was

still over and immediately after he went

into a boat and started well we don’t

have enough bread there’s always enough

the presence of the Lord is enough more

Lord says if you have me you will always

have more than enough for in his way

that is not a way of the wisdom of the

world you have more you will have more

him to put his hands on him and he took

the blind man by the hand and went with

men I see them like trees walking then

again he put his eyes on his eyes his

hands on his eyes then again he put his

hands on his eyes and looking hard he

was able to see and saw all things

I pray that if you do not see that if

you do not hear that if you do not

remember that the Lord may put his hands

on your eyes that the Lord may put his

hands on your ears that the Lord may

give you his mind so that you might

remember remember how it was that the

grace of the Lord came upon you the last

said don’t even go into the town stay

away from the leaven of the Pharisees

and the people of Herod stay away you

can go wherever you like you can speak

with whomever you like but do not let

their thoughts which are worldly take

you over that is the leaven and Jesus

mark 8 verse 27 went out with his

disciples into the little towns round

Caesarea Philippi and on the way he put

a question to his disciples saying who

do men say that I am and he made answer

John the Baptist and others Elijah but

others one of the prophets and he said

to them but who do you say I am Peter

said in answer you are the Christ and he

put them on their orders not to say this

of him to anyone and teaching them he

said that the son of man would have to

undergo much and be hated by those in

authority and the chief priests and the

scribes and be put to death and after

three days come back from the dead and

he said this openly and Peter took him

and was protesting but he turning about

and seeing his disciples said sharply to

the things of men you see Peter wanted

to keep him alive in the flesh

but the thing of God was that there had

to be a sacrificial lamb whose blood

washed away all sin whose blood marked

that the Evil One the destroyer could

not touch them

the Lord said these things must happen

these things must happen for the Word of

God once gone out whether it be the new

or the Old Testament is valid is valid

how you discern a thought whether it be

from God or from Satan and this was a

positive thought Peter says no Lord we

the things of men and not in acquiring

in getting the grace the exceeding power

the mass of people with his disciples he

said to them if any man

has the desire to come after me let him

give up all other desires oh that’s a

hard one let him give up all other

desires and I speak of my own experience

other desires take up his cross and come

after me whoever has a desire to keep

his life his worldly life will have it

taken from him and whoever gives up his

life because of me

and the good news will keep it what

profit has a man if he gets all the

world with the loss of his life and what

would a man give in exchange for his

life whoever has a feeling of shame

because of me and my words in this false

and evil generation the son of man will

have a feeling of shame because of him

when he comes in the glory of his father

with the Holy Angels I pray I pray that

the Lord may open your eyes may open

your ears may bring to remembrance what

and how he did it for you so that he

might find you standing unwavering with

unmovable fate doing his works with your

mind sat on the things of God and not on

the things of men when he comes in glue

life to the destroyers if there is

beside him an angel an interpreter one

to show to man what is right for him

then God is gracious to him and says

deliver him from going down to the pit I

have found a ransom his flesh shall be

fresher than a child he he returns to

the days of his youth he prays to God

and he is favourable to him so that he

sees his face with joy he restores to

man his righteousness he sings before

men and says I have sinned and perverted

that which was right and it didn’t

profit me he has redeemed my soul from

going into the pit

my life shall see the light behold God

does all these things twice yes three

times with a man to bring back his soul

from the pit that he may be enlightened
