we thank you Lord for all you have done

for all you have given us for keeping us

for guarding us for keeping us safe from

all the darts of the enemy let your

change of heart be seen in your works

Matthew 3 verse 2

saying let your hearts be turned from

sin John the Baptist preaching in the

wasteland of Judea saying let your

hearts be turned from sin for the

kingdom of heaven is near

the kingdom of heaven is near

and they were given baptism by him in

the river Jordan for the people went out

there and they were given baptism by him

in the river Jordan saying openly that

they had done wrong so let your change

of heart be seen in your works the Lord

when you let him enter

he will take out that heart of stone and

give you a heart of flesh he will renew

your mind so let your change of heart be

seen that heart that was of stone has

been changed into flesh let it be seen

in your works that you have that heart

of flesh this morning as I was preparing

for this well this morning just now as I

was preparing for that what in the what

came up in the spirit is that again I

see many delivery boxes in our hallways

all open ripped open ripped open and in

the spirit I know that the ones who have

done this once received baptism they

received baptism and I thought oh but

the change of heart

they did not receive it was just cold

water it had no meaning to them like

John said in matthew 3:7 but when he saw

a number of the pharisees and sadducees

those who are imposing a law or rules

coming to his baptism he said to them

offspring of snakes and whose words are

you going in flight from the wrath to

come

let your change of heart be seen in your

words the people who do these things

whoever has ordered it and whoever is

doing it are not Christians they

proclaim to be Christians because this

is a so-called Christian neighborhood

but their works show a heart of stone a

heart of stone offspring of snakes who

were sprinkled with water but never

received the spirit so I pray for us for

us who have been called an answered I

pray that at all times no matter what is

going on no matter how annoying people

are let our change of heart be seen in

our works in the Word of God taking

things touching things violating hurting

in the flesh of innocent people of

people

is not of God even when an ester as we

have been reading this week they

attacked those who attack them they did

not touch their goods so I pray for all

of us who have confessed and said Lord

forgive us or let us do it

forgive us Lord for we were turned into

the world forgive us Lord and come and

be in us with us around us over us you

are our only King Lord there is no man

above us Lord

there is only you Lord I pray for us

that let our change of heart be seen in

our works let us never be touching the

goods of others for profit to impose a

rule of man or for whatever evil there

may be floating around Lord and let

those snakes who hide behind your name

and take a baptism as if it was refuse

water let them not go in flight from the

wrath to come I pray that for all of us

who truly believe in have faith let our

change of hearts be seen in our works

Lord and let your word your word we turn

to you fulfilled Lord in Jesus mighty

name amen let our baptism that we have

received from you Lord for we were not

only baptized with water but with the

Holy Spirit

let your baptism Lord show in our works

let the change that you have made in our

hearts by taking out that brick that

heart of stone and putting in a heart of

flesh let it be seen in our works in

Jesus mighty name I pray amen

Lord give us your word speak with your

voice speak unto the hearts of those who

are under the power in Jesus mighty name

Matthew three verse one Matthew three

verse one and in those days John the

Baptist came preaching in the wasteland

of Judea saying let your hearts be

turned from sin for the kingdom of

heaven is near for this is he of whom

Isaiah the prophet said the voice of one

crying in the wasteland make ready the

way of the Lord make his roads straight

now John was clothed in camel’s hair

with a leather band about him and his

food was locusts and honey

then Jerusalem and all Judea went out to

him and all the people from near Jordan

and they were given baptism by him in

the river Jordan saying openly that they

had done wrong but when he saw a number

of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to

his baptism he said to them offspring of

snakes at whose words as who at whose

word are you going in flight from the

wrath to come

let your change of heart be seen in your

work

and same note to yourselves we have

Abraham for our father I have this

tradition I have that ethnicity this one

watches over me that one covers me say

not to yourselves we have Abraham for

our father because I say to you that God

is able from these stones to make

children for Abraham changing out that

heart of stone a heart of flesh and even

now the ax is put to the root of the

trees every tree then which does not

give good fruit is cut down and put into

the fire

truly I give baptism with water to those

of you whose hearts are changed but he

who comes after me is greater than I

whose shoes I am not good enough to take

up he will give you baptism with the

Holy Spirit and with fire in whose hand

is the instrument with which he will

make clean his grain he will put the

good grain in his store

but the waste will be burned up in the

fire which will never be put out o

offspring of slaves

and those who have received that new

heart that your works show your heart

you are saved by grace you have

salvation by faith but your works the

thing you do show what kind of heart you

have will show if you are good grain or

chaff or the waste let it be good grain

I pray Matthew 3 verse 13 then Jesus

came from Galilee to John and the Jordan

to be given baptism by him but John

would have kept him back saying it is I

who have need of baptism from you and do

you come to me but Jesus made answer

saying to him let it be so now because

so it is right for us to make

righteousness completely then he gave

him baptism and Jesus having been given

baptism straightaway went up from the

water and the heavens opening he saw the

Spirit of God coming down on him as a

dove as a dove comes down and a voice

came out of heaven saying this is my

dearly loved son with whom I am well

pleased I pray that at all times at all

times the Spirit of God may manifest in

your works and at his voice from heaven

looking down on you may always say this

is my dearly loved son this is my dearly

loved child

with whom I am well-pleased

blessed be our Lord the first and the

last the first and the last blessed be

your Lord in Jesus mighty name amen
