Be aware of the presence of the Lord at all times.

A ritual of religion without the power of God

So the people sent to Shiloh and got the ark of the agreement of the Lord of armies whose resting-place is between the winged ones; and Hophni and Phinehas, the two sons of Eli, were there with the ark of God’s agreement.
1 Samuel 4:4

And the man said, Israel went in flight from the Philistines, and there has been great destruction among the people, and your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God has been taken.
1 Samuel 4:17


If you have a cross or a fish around your neck, a bible in your hands and say Lord, Lord, but have no knowledge and awareness of the presence God himself.
Then you have a form of godliness, without the power of his glory.

1Sa 4:22 And she said, The glory is gone from Israel, for the ark of God has been taken.

  • Do God's work in God's way, not in a worldly way
  • But you, O Man Of God, keep yourself from these things, and go after righteousness, religion, faith, love, a quiet mind, gentle behaviour.
  • Let that grace of God which is in you have living power.
  • If you have faith, without doubting, whatever you say, will be done
  • The Word was God
  • Het Woord was God
  • From the first he was the Word, and was God
  • God’s wisdom will be my guide
  • God leidt me door mij raad te geven
  • Bread is not man’s only need
  • Van brood alleen kan een mens niet leven
  • Blessed is the man of your selection
