1 Thessalonians 5:9
For God’s purpose for us is not wrath, but salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ
1Th 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be serious, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and on our heads, the hope of salvation.

03:45 but about the times and their order my
03:49 brothers there is no need for me to say
03:51 anything to you for you yourselves have
03:55 the knowledge that the day of the Lord
03:58 will come like a thief in the night when
04:03 they say there is peace and no danger
04:06 then sudden destruction will come on
04:10 them as birth pains on a woman with
04:13 child and they will not be able to get
04:16 away from it but you my brothers are not
04:20 in the dark for that day to overtake you
04:24 like a thief for you are all sons of
04:30 light and of the day we are not of the
04:34 night or of the dark so then let us not
04:39 take our rest as the others do but let
04:43 us be self-controlled and awake for
04:47 those who are sleeping do so in the
04:51 night and those who are the worse for
04:53 drink are so in the night but let us who
05:00 are of the day be serious putting on the
05:04 breastplate of faith and love and on our
05:07 heads the hope of salvation for God’s
05:11 purpose for us is not wrath but
05:16 salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ
05:21 who was put to death for us so that
05:25 awake or sleeping we may have a part in
05:28 his life eternal life so then go on
05:34 comforting and building up one another
05:37 as you have been doing but we make this
05:43 request to you my brothers give
05:46 attention to those who are working among
05:49 you who are over you in the Lord to keep
05:53 order among you and have a high opinion
05:57 of the
05:58 in love because of their work be at
06:01 peace among yourselves and our desire is
06:05 that you will keep control over those
06:08 whose lives are not well ordered giving
06:12 comfort to the feeble hearted supporting
06:17 those with little strength and putting
06:19 up with much from all let no one give
06:25 evil for evil but ever go after what is
06:30 good for one another and for all have
06:34 joy at all times keep on with your
06:38 prayers in everything give praise for
06:42 this is the purpose of God in Christ
06:46 Jesus for you do not put out the light
06:51 of the Spirit
06:52 do not make a little do not make little
06:56 the words of the prophets let all things
07:01 be tested keep to what is good keep from
07:05 every form of evil and may the God of
07:08 peace himself make you holy in every way
07:11 and may your spirit and soul and body be
07:15 free from all sin at the coming of our
07:19 Lord Jesus Christ God by whom you have
07:24 been marked out in his purpose is
07:28 unchanging and will make it complete
07:32 brothers keep us in mind in your prayers
07:36 give all the brothers a holy kiss I give
07:41 orders in the name of the Lord that all
07:44 the brothers are to be present at the
07:46 reading of this letter the grace of our
07:51 Lord Jesus Christ be with you blessed be
