Matthew 16 verse 16 when the Lord asked

Peter who do you say that I am when he

asks all his disciples who do you say

that I am the people are calling him a

prophet the coming back of someone else

but when he asked them who do you say

that I am Simon Peter Matthew 16 verse

16 Simon Peter made answer and said you

are the Christ the Son of the Living God

the Christ the Son of the Living God

of the Living God ever heard someone say

about a son he is the image of his

Christianity right and let the Holy

for God is spirit let that one spirit

reign through all in different ways but

the same spirit in Jesus mighty name

Amen so Lord well before that all those

who want to receive the Spirit of the

Lord let’s do that today Lord forgive us

I stand in the gap Lord forgive us from

running after the world but we see you

give a sign at our door come in we open

up to you Lord come in and be with us be

in us be the spirit in our soul Lord

give us that heart full of mercy and

renew our minds so that we may see

things as you see them in Jesus mighty

Spirit increase everywhere so lord give

Matthew 16 verse 1 Matthew 16 the deity

of Christ that he the stone that the

Matthew 16 verse 1 and the Pharisees and

Sadducees came and testing him made a

request to him to give them a sign for

from heaven to give them a sign from

heaven but an answer he said to them at

nightfall you say the weather will be

good for the sky is red they’re always

busy with the weather I don’t know why

and in the morning the weather will be

bad today for the sky is red and angry

you are able to see the face of heaven

but not the signs of the times an evil

and false generation is searching after

sign and no sign will be given to it but

the sign a

and when the disciples came to the other

side they had not taken thought to get

bread they were not thinking about food

and Jesus said to them take care to have

nothing to do with the leaven of the

Pharisees and Sadducees don’t take over

the ideas the wisdom of those who can

see the sign of heaven but cannot see

the signs of the times

do not take over the wisdom of the world

do not become like the world it’s a

recurring theme it comes over and over

and over again everywhere in the Word of

God verse 7 and they were reasoning

among themselves saying but we took no

bread thinking about food seeing the

signs of the world but not the signs of

the time and Jesus seeing it said o you

of little faith why are you reasoning

among yourselves because you have no

bread because you didn’t eat here do you

still not see or keep in mind the five

cakes of bread of the 5000 and the

number of baskets you took up a little

faith goes a long way

or the seven cakes of bread of the 4000

and a number of baskets you took up how

is it that you do not see that I was not

talking to you about bread but about

keeping away from the leaven of the

Pharisees and Sadducees how is it

I often wonder myself how is it that

you’re not able to see that I’m not

talking about things of the world but

about things spiritual for God is spirit

then they saw that it was not the leaven

of bread which he had in mind but the

teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees

knowing Jesus had come into the parts of

Caesarea Philippi he said questioning

his disciples who do men say that the

Son of Man is and he said some say John

the Baptist some Elijah and others

Jeremiah or one of the prophets

he says to them who do you say that I am

and Simon Peter made answer and said you

are the Christ the Son of the Living God

the image of God blessed be our Lord

and Jesus made answer and said to him a

blessing on you simon barjona because

this knowledge has not come to you from

flesh and blood but from my father in

heaven and I say to you that you are

Peter and on this rock will my church be

based not on Peter

but on the knowledge

that Jesus is Lord the image of God the

Word of God God with us God with us on

this rock

will my church be base the stone that

the builders refused it shall be the

head cornerstone to whomever thinks that

I am mistaken it’s about Jesus verse 19

I will give to you Peter

the King the keys of the kingdom of

heaven and whatever is fixed by you on

earth will be fixed in heaven and

whatever you make free on earth will be

made free in heaven whatever you put in

Chains on earth is in Chains in heaven

and whatever you set free it’s made free

in heaven then he gave orders to the

disciples to give no man word that he

was the Christ from that time Jesus went

on to make clear to his disciples how he

would have to go up to Jerusalem and

undergo much at the hands of those in

authority and the chief priests and

scribes and be put to death and the

third day come again from the dead the

sign of Jonah and Peter and Peter

protesting said to him be it far from

you Lord it is impossible that this will

come about they were still seeing the

Lord as a king in the flesh

but he Jesus turning to Peter said get

out of my way Satan for thinking in the

ways of the world in the wisdom of the

world is to be ruled by Satan is to show

Satan get out of my way Satan you are a

danger to me because your mind is not on

the things of God but on the things of

men the things of men then jesus said to

his disciples If any man would come

after me let him give up all all the

things of the world and take up his

cross and come after me because whoever

has a desire to keep his life safe which

is the desire of the flesh will have it

taken from him but whoever gives up his

life because of me

will have it given back to him for what

profit has a man if he gets all the

world with the loss of his life or what

will a man give in exchange for his life

for the Son of Man will come in the

glory of his father with his angels and

then he will give to every man the

reward of his works truly I say to you

there are some of those here who will

not have a taste of death till they see

the Son of man coming in his kingdom and

all those well most of those those who

remain faithful to him

onto death onto his there who were there

with him his apostles his disciples they

saw him coming in his kingdom they saw a

resurrection they lived through it they

received the spirit in flames it doesn’t

mean that you will live forever but to

them they had separation from God which

is that yet before they had death before

they were separated before they went to

rest in the earth they had no taste of

separation from God they saw the Son of

man coming in his blessed be our Lord

who is Lord for in the beginning in the

beginning from the first he was the word

in the beginning was the word and a Word

was with God and the Word was God the

same was in the beginning with God all

things were made by him and without him

was not anything made that was made

in him was life and a life was the light

of men and the light shines in darkness

and the darkness darkness understands it

not

that was the true light which lights

every man that comes into the world he

was in the world and a world was made by

him and the world knew him not he came

unto his own and his own received him

not but as many as do so receive him to

them he gives the power to become the

sons of God even especially to them that

believe on his name which are born not

of blood or of the will of the flesh nor

of the will of man but of God of the

spirit and a word the Word was made

flesh the word which was God was made

flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld

his glory the glory as of the only

begotten of the father as of the only

image of God full of grace and truth no

man has seen God at any time the only

begotten Son which is in the bosom of

the Father he has declared him blessed

be your Lord blessed be your own in the

beginning was the word and the Word was

with God and the Word was God and that

word is in the beginning was the word

and the word the power of God in the

beginning was the word and that word is

his name is Jesus Lord of glory
